Skateboard Sim ‘Session’ Adds New Filmer Mode, NYC Landmark & More

2 min read

creā-ture Studios has released a new content update for the skateboarding simulation game Session introducing several new gameplay features as part of its ongoing effort to deliver the most authentic skateboarding experience possible, including:

  • A true-to-life recreation of the legendary NYC Pyramid Ledges in Manhattan’s Financial District.
  • Over 40 new tricks, including Impossibles, late flips and more.
  • Experience ‘board feel’ like never before with full-board controls that let players customize every aspect of their tricks and how they skate, from flick speed and angles to catch timing and more.
  • Local Filmer Mode: This new mode lets a second player join remotely as the crew’s official filmer, able to create an incredibly wide range of shots with a robust and easy-to-use set of tools. Get creative with framing, zooming and angles to make your buddy’s footage look better than ever!

Inspired by the golden era of skateboarding, Session captures the free-flowing creativity, culture and madness of the sport in its purest form with realistic skate physics for a truly grounded experience. The game features true stance-stick controls in which each stick on the gamepad controls one foot to replicate the real deal and teach you to pull off tricks like an expert. Whether you’re a handrail chomper or a tech wizard, this latest update gives you the unparalleled ability to fully craft your own style.

Session is currently available for $19.99 on PC via Steam Early Access. Additionally, the studio has partnered with independent developer Illogika to co-develop the Xbox One version of the game, expected to launch via Xbox Game Preview in the coming months.
