“Black Desert” Beta Hitting PlayStation 4 on August 9

Open-world action MMORPG offers free access to Beta ahead of August 22 launch on PlayStation 4, now available for pre-order

Today Pearl Abyss announced that Black Deserton PlayStation®4 (PS4) will be in Beta testing from Aug. 9-13, in preparation for launch on Aug. 22, 2019. The Beta is available to play without a PlayStation®Plus subscription, and all participants that sign up for the Beta will receive an exclusive Sky Hawk pet at launch, allowing players to loot items, increase Knowledge Gain Chance and find rare monsters. As a free download, players are invited to join the adventure to become their true selves. Black Desert is available for pre-order with Standard ($29.99 USD), Deluxe ($49.99 USD) and Ultimate ($99.99 USD) Editions, which offers various in-game rewards.

Explore the lands of Calpheon with six character classes, including the Warrior, Sorceress, Ranger, Berserker, Wizard and Witch. Adventurers can create their ideal characters through the robust customization tool, embark on a journey to reach a maximum level of 50, and participate in GM events.

Black Desert boasts next-generation visuals and skill-based, real-time combat that has been optimized for responsive controls on PS4. With 4K resolution support for PS4 Pro, experience stunning visual environments in a player-driven economy and an expansive, living world.

Now available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store, the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions allow 48-hour early access to the full game. PlayStation Plus members receive a 10% discount on all pre-order editions.

For Adventurers playing Black Desert on Xbox One, a new free content update is now available, allowing the Ninja to Awaken true skills and abilities. In addition, three new world bosses – Karanda, Quint and Maraka – now offer powerful loot and the Capotia Accessories equipment deliver increased attack damage.
